[YEP-DC] Amazing Free Opportunity for Charter Middle Schools!!!

Greetings! One World Education (OWEd) is a local organization who has led the largest writing program in DC high schools.  Their data-driven and Common Core writing curriculum as evaluated in the 2013-14 school year by George Washington and American University, has shown significant gains in student writing.

For SY14-15, OWEd is offering a middle school Argumentative/Persuasive Writing Unit for Grade 8, which includes a Student Research Portal, offering students  a one-stop bank of more than 100 grade-level resources on topics chosen by students.

The regular cost for the program is $25/student. However, based on their success in DC high schools, this year, with the support of The City Fund, they seek to offer the program at no cost to 10 charter middle schools!

Here is the link to their new documentary of DC students and teachers, Teaching, Learning, Writing.

If you are interested in taking advantage of this amazing opportunity, contact Joy King-Pike at joy@oneworldeducation.org for more information. Limited time offer, pass it on!

Warm regards,

Joy L. King-Pike
Deputy Director
