Folks,
-- Sometimes festers aren't always about partying outside, camping and such. Usually, OK, go ahead and pack the camper and make a weekend of it.
But there are those occasions where it's about giving in to listening to great music in a great room. No worrying about camping stuff, or firewood, in the truck. Just your favorite music maker to join the crowd for a day. That's what we're talking about with this year's DCBluegrass Festival in Falls Church.
Claire Lynch, Gina Furtado, and Man About a Horse, fill the stage for a cool day of music thats simple, enjoyable with no dirty laundry to worry about when you get home. Mid Atlantic Bluegrass Band Contest starts the day.
Some fair warning that its not the hotel formula that recently led to late nights, and high admission costs for tix. We tried that. Unsustainable. This year, $35 bucks gets you in for a great day of music that you wont find elsewhere.
$30 bucks in advance! Yes, its worth crossing the American Legion bridge for (to you all MD'ers out there)!
As Bluegrasser's you probably know that, but you need to hear it anyway- because we need your support. We're all in this together!
Visit here for tix: DCBF show
Cheers, and hope to see you there.
Matt Slocum, DCBU Vice Prez.
Giving a shout to our buds at DelVal for some raffle prizes that could be had the day of the fester!
