Hey everybody- Its the first time the band has ventured out from NoVa to played in Montgomery County, so I'm thinking, why not call it a tour?? Everybody's doing it nowadays!
The bridge seems to keep a lot of folks from both sides from crossing over to support their buds- so I thought I'd set up a couple of dates in MoCo to make it easier to get your fill of bluesgrass.
As far as naming the tour, I'm thinking 'Across the Great Divide' tour sounds more palatable (considering its Mr Prez's current obsession). So plan on joining in on the tour stop #1 at Lahinch on April 19th. 7-10. The road crew likes this place because they have a decent house system!
Swing on by (its much more convenient than my usual Falls Church haunts) and join in! We'll be serving up some bluegrass, with a cup of blues, dash of R&B grooves garnished with some originals for a homemade dish that satisfies the most discerning customer. You'll want another plate!
Who: Matt Slocum and the Gravel Road Band- with John Relph and Janine Lewis
What: Blues+Bluegrass+R&B+Originals: Bluesgrass
When: Thursday night April 19th, 7-10
Where: Lahinch Tavern, 7727 Tuckerman Lane, Potomac MD- around the back
Why: to support live local music, of course!
