[dcab-l] Original Song: Ann
Songwriters & Music Lovers:
“Ann" is an original I wrote many years ago, but have performed infrequently.
Indeed, this is an emotionally dark love song. Actually, lonely and mostly painful;
We have all lived it! But, it still has a certain drive!
Through the years the original cassette tape recording has degraded. Please forgive.
This live cut is from a mid-80s video show taped and broadcast from a Takoma Park
(Md.) station, on a show called “Takoma Tempo”, hosted by Adele (Abrams)
Bunoski.
The rhythm guitar and harmony is by my “All Mixed Up” partner Barry Wendell. My
Martin guitar that day was a D-76.
I am dedicating this song to all the Anns I know; each is beautiful in her own way
and I’m thankful for knowing each one: Ann Garrison, Ann Kennedy, Anne Greet,
Anne McCabe, and Anne Wilson.
