MAGNIFICENT is the only superlative that comes to mind, and, that isn't even close to categorizing the performance last night by Chris Jones & the Night Drivers. I've listened to bunches of their music on Sirius radio and youtube, among others, but a 'live performance' is the ultimate way to enjoy music IMHO. Well, my point was well proven last night at the Weekend Bluegrass Concert Series in Herndon, Virginia. The emotion in each and every song was clear and to the point adding to your listening pleasure. Their vocal harmony was absolutely 'spot on' as were their instrumentals. A lot of fun too as these fine folks enjoy a good laugh as well as a good riff. They engineered their own sound, as well as performing, and did a marvelous job which added greatly to their performance. Don't miss a chance to see them when they are in your area as they put on a tremendous show and are just fine folks to be around. Many THANKS to Chris, Mark Jon and Gina for a most enjoyable evening of music and fun. Thanks also goes out to the nice folks who helped me with our snack bar operations last night as we had a crowd of munchers in the house - lol.
