[dcab-l] Woody and Dad sing "Away in a Manger"

Friends of Christmas Present:

This is the eighth year my son Woody and I have recorded a Christmas Carol.  Others

we've done in years past:

In 2009 "Star of Bethlehem"

In 2010 "Silent Night"

In 2011 "Silver Bells"

In 2012 "Blue Christmas"

In 2013 "White Christmas"

In 2014 "Winter Wonderland"

In 2015 "The Friendly Beasts"

For 2016 we've recorded "Away in a Manger".   Woody did the recording, mixing, and

sang both baritone and tenor;  Dad sang lead and played the guitar and bass.

I used an 09 Martin Marquis and my fretless Rob Allen bass.

" Away in a Manger" is a Christmas carol first published in the late 19th century

and used widely throughout the English-speaking world.  In Britain, it is one of the

most popular carols; a 1996 Gallup Poll ranked it joint second.  Although it was long

claimed to be the work of German religious reformer Martin Luther, the carol is now

thought to be wholly American in origin.

Please enjoy, and we wish everyone a happy and healthy Holiday Season!  (Older

Christmas songs are already on the selection list).
