Sterling Golf Club Acoustic Jam - Sunday July 09, 5 PM - Back at Sterling!

The weather looks GREAT for a porch jam on Sunday night at the
Sterling Golf Club.

NOTE: 5 PM start time, ~ 8 PM end time.

Food is available through the bar, from Joe's Restaurant!

ALCOHOL must still be served through the bar, per ABC private club
rules. You may bring wine or spirits to be served. Beer is on tap and in cans.
Expect the bar service to close at 7 PM.

FAIR WARNING: It's a bar environment, with all that entails. It's fun
to play there, if you are inclined toward that.

OPEN FORMAT: This is a FUN, very informal jam. We encourage all kinds
of acoustic music. Bluegrass, newgrass, stained glass, folk,
folk-rock, progressive, old country, new country, roots, blues, jazzy,
singer-songwriters with their original thoughts, and more. Just bring
it!

We also have a lot of significant others, groupies and other infamous
characters gathering 'round as they talk (quietly) among
themselves. So if you don't play an instrument but would like to
engage in the some profound conversation with a cultured,
well-traveled crowd, please drop by.

[dcab-l] Original Song: Dixie Line

Songwriters & Music Lovers:

“Dixie Line" is an original song written by my Philadelphia friend and songwriter, Fred Moore. It

reminds me of driving South from Pa. to see my future bride living in Silver Spring, Md., crossing

the Mason Dixie Line into the South, then crossing again when returning home.

This song appears on a CD entitled “Bluegrass Favorites”; the CD cover shows the Capitol

Theater in Chambersburg, Pa, home of the Appalachian Jubilee, where I appeared on the bill for

several years:
