[dcab-l] DCBU/"Archie's Barbershop" Bluegrass Jam in Hyattsville, MD

The next DC Bluegrass Union "Archie's Barbershop" Jam will be Monday, October 3, from 7:00-10:00 PM, at:

        The Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation ("Archie's Barbershop")
        4502 Hamilton St, Hyattsville, MD, just half a block off of Baltimore Ave. (Rt. 1)

The jams are on the first and third Monday of each month. A small donation is requested but not required (about $4, less if you're hurting, more if you've got it to spare). All attendees must present proof of vaccination. This is not a bar so it's BYOB.

If you know anyone who might like to come, please pass this message along to them. Thanx!

   One of my bands real good fans,  Shirley, has a 1998-99 Martin D-41 guitar that was her husbands and he played it very little before he passed away and she would like to sell it SO if any of you know a good place to offer it up for sale please let me know,  she is asking $4000 with the original case,  it is in "like new condition"   Thanks....Willie

[dcab-l] 3-part Harmony: "Think of What You've Done"

"Think of What You've Done" is a bluegrass classic written by Carter Stanley, who

with his brother Ralph, formed The Stanley Brothers and the Clinch Mountain Boys.

The first recording and first release of this song were October 1, 1958 and December,

1958 respectively.

 

This song has become a bluegrass standard, covered by a host of recording artists:

Note: Although September 5 is a holiday, Labor Day, the Jam will be held in the evening as usual.
