[dcab-l] Memorial Day Potluck Celebration at Archie's Barbershop

The DC Bluegrass Union is hosting a Memorial Day Potluck Celebration, and all are invited. Bring your instruments! The date is Monday, May 30, from 1:00-6:00 PM. Soft drinks will be provided; bring a potluck and beverage of your choice if you like. Rain or shine!

        The Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation ("Archie's Barbershop")
        4502 Hamilton St, Hyattsville, MD, just half a block off of Baltimore Ave. (Rt. 1)

A small donation is requested but not required (about $4, less if you're hurting, more if you've got it to spare).

[dcab-l] Bob Perilla’s Big Hillbilly Bluegrass Birthday Jamboree

Circle June 18 on your calendar to join the DC Bluegrass Union in a musical celebration of Bob Perilla's birthday. And what a party it will be! We'll gather a big crowd, set up a stage and let the music roll. With your help and participation, we'll make this the highlight of the summer!

* Moose Jaw Bluegrass will put on a stage show.

* An open stage: We're getting requests from bands for stage time. Interested? Let Matt Slocum know at 202-438-0490, but don't delay. Limited slots are available.

* Jam: You all are invited to bring your instruments and voices and jam the night away.

* Reserved tables: There are six round tables that are available stage front that can be reserved. Also, a few high tops around the perimeter. Stage front tables are $40 and seat 6. The hightops can be reserved for $25 each. Otherwise general admission is free.

Bob's been making the best music in town, along with some of the best talent in the DC/Baltimore scenes, so let's gather for a night of song and revelry and show him some love!

[dcab-l] Hey Everybody- Let's Jam on Memorial Day!

...at Archie Edwards Blues Foundation. Jamming starts at 1 PM.

Barb Diederich has hosted since January (Thanks Barb!) and has arranged an afternoon jam in place of the nightly jam on the 30th. 

The DCBU can bring the burgers  if we can find a local who can supply a grill for the day  (anybody??). We'll bring the soft drinks too (you can bring something with more kick if you'd like. You folks bring a pot-luck dish along with your instruments and voices. 

The DC bluegrass musical community needs all the members to join in, chime in and dig in (we'll have something to nosh on, grill not withstanding). 

BTW, its ONE MONTH from the Birthday Bash for Bob Perilla. Please spread the word and the attached flyer. We need your help with spreading the word and getting folks in the know.

[dcab-l] DCBU/"Archie's Barbershop" Bluegrass Jam in Hyattsville, MD

The next DC Bluegrass Union "Archie's Barbershop" Jam will be Monday, May 16, from 7:00-10:00 PM, at:

        The Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation ("Archie's Barbershop")
        4502 Hamilton St, Hyattsville, MD, just half a block off of Baltimore Ave. (Rt. 1)

The jams are on the first and third Monday of each month. A small donation is requested (about $4, less if you're hurting, more if you've got it to spare). All attendees must present proof of vaccination. This is not a bar so it's BYOB.
