bargain, or I'll make a bid to try to get a bargain. There is also a
bunch of mid range and high end stuff on there, too.
Some of it is posted over and over by the same couple of local
"home-based" dealers who are looking for near retail pricing and won't
budge much. Their listing recur for weeks, or months, for the same
piece.
People looking to clear out the clutter or that have to sell soon are
quite negotiable. Especially if you know that it has been listed for a
while.
To really move a mid to high end guitar, a lot of it is about price.
If it is near the current "market price" for a used piece, then expect
to sit on it for a while until you find the right buyer who has to
have it.
If you want to move the piece, then put a "can't resist" price on it
and you will get the lurkers who know their bargains coming out of
the woodwork. They'll have cash and be ready to buy, if the price is
right..

If you or she can furnish any details about condition, year of manufacture, etc. I can hunt around and find some comparable prices.

She also has some electric stuff. I'm not sure how to advise her to best sell it - consignment? Does HMT do that? Any help is welcome. She has no idea of the value. TIA!
