IMT has four concerts coming up this spring that DCBU folks might be
interested in.
Claire Lynch
Monday, March 25
Rockville
Claire Lynch and her band, including our friend Mark Schatz, return
for a Monday night concert in Rockville.
The Stray Birds
Wednesday, April 3
Takoma Park
We'll start April off with a debut appearnace at IMT by the Stray
Birds. They're a string band trio that's focused on harmoney and
song. John Starling says "Five Stars," and we agree.
Nora Jane Struthers & the Party Line
Wednesday, April 17
Takoma Park
Nora Jane Struthers (last at IMT with Bearfoot) brings her band The
Party Line to release their new CD, "Carnival." With her in the band
are P. J. George, Drew Lawhorn, Joe Overton and Aaron Johna Lewis.
The Sweetback Sisters
Wednesday, May 8
Takoma Park
Their precise, family-style harmonies recall the best of country music
from the Everlys to The Judds, as well as the spirited rockabilly
energy of Wanda Jackson, one of the band's role models.
