Neighbors:
We just completed the trial case of the first weekly storm water management (SWM) happy hour in Bloomingdale.
The intent of this weekly event is to assemble a group of SWM professionals to discuss topics that friends would otherwise veto in social settings and to provide a venue where the community can come to seek answers to SWM technical questions without incurring hourly consulting fees.
Tonight's attendees included technicians and policy-makers with lots of interest in both the rain barrel program and McMillan Park storm water storage. Please join us next week to ask and/or answer questions. We're expecting a great turnout next week from the civil engineering and hydrological communities.
Tonight was Boundary Stone; next Friday will likely be Rustik Tavern. We'll provide an update as soon as plans evolve.
Happy Friday,
Hugh
